In the rolling hills of Williamstown above Route 14, the Charles Carrier Farm’s expansive organic hay fields surround the original garage where Bergamot + Amor was born. The Charlie is our smallest crossbody / shoulder carry / east west hybrid that checks ALL the boxes!
This Charlie is a Black Cherry North American Shrunken Bison Hide that has beautiful texture and pebbling. Shrunken American Bison Leather showcases the bold texture and unmistakable character that make bison leather so highly sought after. The signature shrinking process tightens the grain to create an extremely pronounced “bubble” texture that runs across the surface of the hide, giving the leather striking depth and rugged visual character. Finished with a rich aniline treatment and waxed topcoat, the leather has a subtle shine that highlights the natural grain and adds a luxurious touch to its rugged appeal.
Measuring: 9.5” long x 4.5” Deep x 8.5” tall with an exterior pocket that’s 8.5” x 4.75”.
The open body of the bag is roomy enough to fit your daily reading, a larger wallet, tablet, and more, but still shallow enough to find everything.
With the Charlie, we offer two straps to choose from, that match the tobacco base of the bag:
The Shoulder Carry: detachable, 1” wide tobacco brown strap with a 13” drop.
Crossbody: detachable, adjustable, 1” wide tobacco brown strap that can be shortened for over the shoulder comfort or extended to be worn across the body with a drop of 14” – 26”.
All our leather goods are made in small, limited batches, so please note sizing will vary slightly depending on the dexterity & temper of the hide.
Each bag is handcrafted, sewn and assembled in Williamstown Vermont, USA with 100% Full and Top Grain Leather, industrial strength threads and reinforced with durable antique brass colored hardware.
